zsmtp is positioned as a transport layer that minimizes what the mail transfer agent needs to know about the mail it relays.

The first draft is written for self-hosters and infrastructure teams who need clear scope, expectations, and deployment notes.

Packaging, configuration schema, and operational examples are intentionally marked as forthcoming until the implementation is documented.

zsmtp is work in progress. This first site draft keeps the claims tight and leaves unknown implementation details explicit.
